The Math Problem With a Twist

Mr. Thompson smirked as he wrote the word problem on the board for his sixth-grade class: “A millionaire passes away, leaving $10 million. His wife gets one-fifth, his son gets one-fifth, the butler gets one-sixth, and charity gets the rest. How much does each receive?”

The room fell silent as students frantically scribbled calculations. After five minutes of awkward silence, little Timmy tentatively raised his hand.

“Yes, Timmy?” the teacher prompted.

Looking completely serious, the boy replied, “They all get… a really good lawyer, sir.”

The class erupted in laughter as Mr. Thompson choked on his coffee. It wasn’t the answer he expected, but it might have been the most accurate one.
