Sarah lovingly prepared breakfast – pancakes, sausage, and fresh fruit. “Eat up, dear,” she urged her husband.
“Not today,” Tom replied. “This new prescription really suppresses my hunger.”
Come noon, Sarah brought out chicken salad sandwiches and homemade chips. “Just a few bites?”
Tom patted his stomach. “Still no appetite thanks to those pills.”
By dinnertime, the aroma of lasagna filled the house. “You have to eat something!” Sarah insisted.
“Can’t,” Tom said. “That medication’s still doing its job.”
Sarah finally lost her patience. “Well I need to do my job of eating – so would you mind moving?”
