“When a Salesgirl Said My Wife Wasn’t Pretty Enough, I Planned the Perfect Response”

My wife Emma is the most beautiful woman I know – inside and out. So when she came home crying because some boutique employee told her she “wasn’t pretty enough” to work there, I saw red. Emma had gone to apply for her dream retail job, only to be crushed by one cruel comment.

As I comforted her, an idea began forming. With help from a friend in the fashion world, we devised a scheme to give that salesclerk exactly what she deserved. A few days later, I returned to the store playing the role of a wealthy shopper. The same woman who’d insulted Emma suddenly became my best friend when she thought I might drop serious cash.

Then came the beautiful twist – my friend entered as a modeling agent, immediately dismissing the clerk as “not having the right look.” When he then pretended to be fascinated by Emma’s potential, the clerk’s shocked realization was everything I’d hoped for.

That experience gave Emma back her confidence – and hopefully taught that salesgirl to think twice before judging others.
