Her family and Dolly Parton are sad about the death of her brother David Parton on November 15. He was 82 years old. People who knew David, who was often called “sweet David,” loved him very much. They will miss him a lot.
David was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps, according to his sister Stella. He loved his family very much. He also did well as a bridge-building superintendent for Simpson Construction, working on a number of jobs in Tennessee.
David’s wife of 45 years, Kay, daughter Donna, daughter Dena, and many grandkids and great-grandchildren will miss him. His brothers, such as Dolly and Stella, are also sad about his death.
As of late, the Parton family has lost several loved ones, so they know what it’s like to be sad. David’s death is especially painful because it comes right after the deaths of his brothers Larry, Floyd, and Randy.
Floyd Parton died in December 2018. He was a great singer and songwriter. People recognised him for his love of nature, his cooking skills, and his work in music, such as the hit song “Nickels and Dimes” from Dolly’s “Heartbreaker” album.
Randy Parton, another brother, died of cancer in January 2021. Dolly remembered that he was a great singer, songwriter, and performer who had worked with her many times.
David’s family is sad about his death, but they are finding comfort in remembering his life and work. We will always remember how much he loved, gave, and devoted himself to his family.
