Richard had built his company from nothing. But with no heirs, he needed to find someone worthy to take over. So, he disguised himself as a homeless man and visited his own office.
The security guard sneered at him. “No beggars allowed.”
Richard pleaded, “Just a few minutes inside. Maybe some food?”
The guard refused—until Nancy, a young assistant, stepped in. Ignoring the guard’s protests, she gave Richard her lunch and sat with him, treating him with kindness.
When the arrogant manager, Tom, found out, he exploded. “Get this filth out of here!”
Nancy stood up to him. “He’s a human being!”
Tom mocked her. “You’re nobody. Get back to work.”
The next day, the office buzzed with news: the owner had passed away. The lawyer arrived—not for Tom, but for Nancy.
In a private room, he handed her a letter:
“Nancy, I tested everyone. You were the only one who passed. The company is yours. And fire Tom—he never even learned your real name.”
