The Wedding Guest No One Expected

The wedding was in full swing when an elderly man in an outdated suit appeared at the door. The security guard blocked his path. “This is a private event,” he said firmly.

The man, Vasily, swallowed hard. “Please, my daughter is getting married today.”

The groom’s parents were called over. They took one look at him and shook their heads. “You can’t be serious,” the mother said coldly. “We’ve never seen you before.”

Vasily’s hands trembled. “I haven’t seen her in 25 years,” he admitted. “But I had to come today.”

The groom’s father scoffed. “You expect us to believe that? Leave before you ruin the day.”

Heartbroken, Vasily turned to go—but then he heard music. The sound of his daughter’s laughter.

Summoning courage, he slipped past them and entered the hall. Without hesitation, he began singing a familiar lullaby.

The room froze. The bride, Yanna, spun around, her face pale. “Papa?”

Tears flowed as they embraced. The guests watched in awe, including the groom’s parents, who now looked ashamed.

Vasily handed Yanna a small box—a family heirloom he had saved for decades. “I never stopped loving you,” he whispered.

That night, as he left quietly, he thought it was goodbye. But Yanna had other plans.

Days later, she arrived at his doorstep. “You’re not alone anymore,” she said, hugging him tightly.
