When the Wrong Pizza Shop Got an Earful

You haven’t seen true comedy until you’ve watched someone scream at the wrong restaurant.

She came in like a tornado – perfectly styled hair, designer outfit, and enough anger for three people. “I want to speak to the manager NOW!”

That would be my grandma, who was already walking over with that look she gets when dealing with difficult customers. The look that says, “Oh honey, you’re about to embarrass yourself.”

“This pizza is cold! The toppings are wrong! And it tastes like cardboard!” the woman raged, jabbing her manicured finger at the box.

Grandma didn’t even look at the pizza. She just pointed to the door. “Ma’am, do you see that sign? ‘Luigi’s Pizzeria’?” Then she pointed to the box. “That says ‘Mario’s Pizza.’ They’re two blocks down.”

The silence was so thick you could slice it with a pizza cutter. The woman’s face went through five emotions at once before settling on horrified realization.

As she grabbed the box and fled, the entire restaurant burst into applause. Through the window, we saw her stop halfway down the block, look at the box again, and actually stomp her foot like a cartoon character.

Grandma just sighed and went back to work. “Some days,” she said, “the jokes write themselves.”
