Against All Odds: Baby Flung by Tornado Found Alive

A Tennessee family is counting their blessings after their 4-month-old son survived being hurled through the air by a deadly tornado. The infant, Lord, was ripped from his crib when the storm obliterated his family’s mobile home in Clarksville, sending his parents into a desperate search through the wreckage.

Sydney Moore, his mother, described the terrifying moment the tornado tore through their home. “The roof disappeared, and the bassinet just lifted away,” she said. “I thought we’d lost him forever.”

Miraculously, they later found Lord lying beneath a fallen tree, completely unharmed despite the violent winds that had carried him away. His survival has stunned emergency responders and become a beacon of hope in a disaster that claimed six lives and left entire neighborhoods in ruins.

Though the family lost everything, Moore remains grateful. “We have each other—that’s what matters,” she said, holding her sons close.
