Two businessmen found themselves stuck behind the slowest pair of golfers they’d ever seen – two women who seemed determined to visit every sand trap and water hazard on the course. After two hours of painfully watching them hack their way through each hole, one man finally snapped. “This is ridiculous. I’m going to ask if we can play through.”
He marched toward the women with purpose, but halfway there, he suddenly stopped, turned on his heel, and hurried back to his friend. “I can’t do it,” he muttered, his face turning red. “One of those women is my wife… and the other is my girlfriend.” His golf partner nodded sympathetically and offered to go instead.
But history repeated itself as the second man made it only halfway before retreating with an embarrassed chuckle. “Small world indeed,” he said, wiping his brow. “That’s my wife and my mistress out there too!”
