A man called his wife one day with an interesting request. He told her he had been invited to go on a week-long fishing trip with his boss, and he believed it was a great chance to earn a promotion. He asked her to pack enough clothes for the week and to prepare his fishing rod and tackle box. He also specifically reminded her not to forget his new blue silk pajamas. The wife thought the request was a little unusual, but she trusted her husband and packed everything he asked for.
A week later, the husband returned home looking satisfied but tired. His wife was curious and asked him all about the trip—how it went and whether he had caught any fish. He enthusiastically told her he had caught plenty, including salmon, bluegill, and even a few swordfish. Then, with a confused expression, he asked her why she hadn’t packed his blue silk pajamas like he’d requested. The wife simply smiled and replied, “Oh, I did pack them. They were in your tackle box.”
