Toddler Fights Venom Overload After Massive Wasp Attack

What should have been a joyful playtime turned tragic for Beckham Reed, a two-year-old from Georgia, when he unknowingly rolled his toy car over a yellow jacket nest. In seconds, the angry swarm covered him, delivering more than 150 stings.

Initially sent home from the ER, Beckham’s condition worsened rapidly. His skin yellowed, signaling organ distress. Rushed back to the hospital, doctors discovered his kidney, liver, and heart were failing under the venom’s assault.

Born with just one functioning kidney, Beckham’s small size made the attack even more dangerous. Now in the ICU, he’s relying on machines to help his body cope while his family holds onto hope. “He’s waking up more,” they shared. “Our little warrior isn’t giving up.”

With no antivenom available, Beckham’s recovery depends on time and his incredible resilience.
