Why One Grandma Gets More Visits Than the Other

On a quiet afternoon, two grandmothers sat side by side, discussing their families. The first shook her head in frustration. “I spoil my grandchildren rotten,” she said. “Gifts, cards, checks—you name it. But do they visit? Almost never!”

The second grandmother listened patiently before sharing her secret. “I send checks too,” she said with a mischievous grin. “And my grandchildren never miss a chance to stop by.”

The first grandmother leaned in, intrigued. “What’s your secret? Bigger checks? Fancier gifts?”

“Nothing like that,” her friend replied, eyes twinkling. “I just make sure the checks are unsigned.”

Realization dawned, and soon both women were laughing, one at the cleverness of the trick, the other at the simple brilliance of it.
